it's a pretty rough account of what happen, so here goes...
on 19th september 2004, sunday
3pm
spotted some discharge, called mom for advice and decided to wait and see.
6pm
called doctor chan and was advice to admit to hospital for her to give me a check up. went for shower and left for hospital.
7pm
reached hospital. proceeded to labour ward at delivery suite 7 and waited for dr chan.
7.30pm
dr chan arrived and gave me an examination. i was only 1cm dilated but was adviced to admit to hospital.
8pm
moved to post natal ward #654 for rest and observations.
on 20th september, monday
6am
woke and prepared to go back to delivery suite.
7am
backed at delivery suite 8 and waited for dr chan. hubby arrived.
9am+
dr chan arrived, examined and broke my water.
11am+
asked for an epidural and was eventually put on drip.
12 to 5pm+
nothing much happened. felt very bored as i was confined to the bed for several hours so i napped for a short while. i didn't felt any pain as i was on epidural, only felt contractions.
6pm
dr chan arrived and examined. i was only 6cm dilated after many hours and was deem risky to wait any longer.
6pm+
i was moved to an operation theatre for an emergency c-section.
i think i kinda went into shock as i was not mentally prepared for cesarean. i vomitted once on the ot table and my hair smelled of milo because i had alot of it earlier at the delivery suite.
7.17pm
first cry heard. ryan was delivered. the nurse brought ryan to my arms for me to look and i gave him a kiss.
delivering ryan was pretty fast. within 10-15mins in the cesarean ryan was delivered. it was the stitching up that took more time.
after i calmed down i pretty much enjoyed listening to conversations between my dr and my anesthesian about applying some platinum credit cards. yes, i was awake the whole time because i was already on epidural and so i could feel some tugging here and there at my lower abdomen, but definitely no pain at all.
9pm
transfered back to post natal ward for rest and recovery.
